Fairtrade Fortnight

Each year for two weeks in February and March, a spotlight is put on global trade through the Fairtrade Fortnight campaign.

Together with Fairtrade farmers, workers, and campaigners everywhere, Fairtrade Inverness  group organises activities and events to highlight the difference Fairtrade can make to individual lives and communities.

Fairtrade Fortnight in 2023 will be from 27th February to 12th March. The theme this year is food – in
particular the ways in which addressing climate change and promoting fairtrade contribute to sustainable and affordable food. We will announce details here once they are finalised, keep an eye on our  Facebook page for local news and activities.

Fairtrade Inverness Survey

In the autumn of 2019 Fairtrade Inverness commissioned an independent study into the popularity of Fairtrade products in Inverness, looking at the number and types of products stocked in local cafés and shops, attitudes towards Fairtrade by retailers and a short study of public opinionabout Fairtrade and trade justice issues.  The full report can be accessed HERE, and a short summary HERE.
